The Missouri Interscholastic Press Association, based on the University of Missouri-Columbia campus, recently returned critiques on the 2014 high school yearbooks.
Yearbooks earn points in five areas, including theme/concept and services, coverage, copy, design and photography. They then earn a rating based on their total points out of 500. The top honor is All-Missouri, then Superior, Excellent, Merit and no award is given for earning less than 60 percent of the total points.
Staley High School Legacy yearbook earned an All-Missouri rating, the highest the state awards! The editors were 2014 graduate Alexandria Freese and current senior Rachel McLees.
The yearbook students will next compete as individuals in the Journalism Day competition at MU on Wednesday, April 8.
